Thomas Family

Stephanie Thomas is excited to open home and heart!
*Stephanie Thomas is in the process of obtaining a foster care license. The process will complete once a match has been made.
My name is Stephanie Thomas, and I live with my adult son, in our home in St. Louis Park. This is a very quiet location with parks, schools, and a river nearby. We would describe our neighborhood as friendly and safe. It is filled with longtime residents, and children are often playing outdoors. In becoming a Host Home provider, my goal is to offer a supportive, respectful, and nurturing home that will enhance somebody’s life through love and kindness. A good match for my home might be an older or middle-aged female whose strengths include independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
In our family, we enjoy spending time outdoors on our patio and grilling. We love making good food and watching great movies. I always say that someone new will only be new for one day. If you live here, you are a part of our household. Other activities I enjoy include going to church, dining out, baking, shopping, arts and crafts, and playing games. I also love to garden and visit new places.
There are two entrances to my home. The side entrance steps are lined with handrails. If you walk in through the side, you will enter the kitchen area, which opens into a hallway where the available main level bedroom is located. The living room is around the corner. My bedroom is also located on the main level, as is the shared bathroom. My son’s bedroom and bathroom are located on the upper level of the home. There is also a basement, for laundry and storage.
My son is finishing his college studies, and I am currently working as an office support specialist for the city of Minneapolis. For several years, I took care of my nana, and it was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I am at my happiest when others are happy. I love hearing stories and recounting the day. I love to laugh, and I love to talk. It is important to know we are not alone. I do not have all the answers, but working together makes all things easier.
