Tesch Family Offers Opportunity to Build Independence on Farm

We are Aaron and Sheri. Caring for others is a shared passion of ours and a priority in our lives that we hope to offer in our home to someone new.

Sheri is the primary caregiver for her mother, who has Alzheimer’s, and has worked as a PCA in an assisted living facility. Aaron has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse and is now a paramedic on a local ambulance service.

Both of us have personal and professional experience caring for others, which has helped us become attuned to other people’s needs. We would love to use these skills to support and encourage someone in our home to meet their needs and create the life they want for themselves.

Our love of caregiving extends to animals. We live on a 40-acre hobby farm that is home to many animals, including dogs, cats and even a pet pig!

The house we live in is a unique home converted from a granary, and we would support someone in decorating and arranging their room to create a space that fits their needs and expresses their individuality. We typically share household responsibilities, and we would love to support someone in building a level of independence that feels right for them.

When someone moves into our home, we would welcome them to join us for some of our favorite things to do together: cooking, traveling, spending time in nature and learning new things. We also enjoy spending our time caring for our community through volunteer work with the local ambulance service and celebrating holidays at the local assisted living facility.

Our faith is very important to us. We honor God together by doing daily devotions, praying, reading the Bible and attending church, where we also volunteer frequently.

We are happiest when we can spend time together as a family. We hope to welcome someone new into our home to share this time with us and support them in building the life they choose for themselves.
