Council on Accreditation
The Council on Accreditation (COA) is an international, independent, not-for-profit, child and family service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. COA partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying and promoting accreditation standards.
Center for Guardianship Certification
The Center for Guardianship Certification enhances the quality of guardianship services by providing examination and certification of guardians and fiduciaries.
Charities Review Council
LSS is proud to have achieved the “Meets All Standards” report granted by the Charities Review Council. As one of the largest private, nonprofit social service organizations in Minnesota, we value this evaluation as a way of honoring the support of this community and by committing to the highest standards of conduct in our work in Minnesota and worldwide.

A national voice for older Americans and the community organizations that serve them to help seniors find jobs and benefits, improve their health, live independently and remain active in their communities.
Minnesota Association for Guardianship & Conservatorship
The Minnesota Association for Guardianship & Conservatorship (MAGiC) is committed to ensuring that the appropriate level of quality substitute decision-making is applied consistently.
National Guardianship Association
The National Guardianship Association (NGA) advances the nationally recognized standard of excellence in guardianship. NGA believes that those appointed to the care of guardians, conservators and fiduciaries deserve quality services and that every person should be provided respect, due process, rights and dignity in guardianship.
National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs
The National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs (NANASP) is a national membership organization for persons across the country working to provide older adults healthful food and nutrition through community-based services.
Meals on Wheels America
The Meals on Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest national organization composed of and representing local, community-based senior nutrition programs in all 50 U.S. States, as well as the U.S. Territories.
AmeriCorps Seniors
This is a federal agency that brings people together to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges, through national service and volunteering. AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers serve with organizations like LSS that are dedicated to the improvement of communities. LSS Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent Volunteer services are offered in partnership with AmeriCorps Seniors.

Our state funding is administered through the Minnesota Board on Aging.
