Caddy-Weina Family
Lori and Bryan ready to help someone live their best life!
We are Lori Caddy and Bryan Weina. We live in a four-bedroom split-level home about 10 miles from Brainerd. We currently share a home with our 24-year-old son and one other person we support. The top level consists of the shared kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. The open bedroom is on the lower level, along with the bedroom of the other person we support. The lower level also has another full bathroom and a second living room. Living rooms on either level are shared and open to all. We are still close enough to town for easy access, and we share our country lot with a lot of fun wildlife.
Our family is compassionate and supportive of each other while also respecting boundaries that each person sets for themselves. We appreciate each person for who they are and respect our differences as much as our similarities. We value time together as well as independent activities. We enjoy sharing our home and life with others who want to live in a family environment with support to meet personal goals and dreams.
We appreciate a quiet day at home but also enjoy getting out for various community events. We like to take day trips as well as family vacations. At home, we enjoy campfires and cook outs during the summer. We are flexible and believe it’s important that each person gets to live the life of their choice and participate in activities of their personal choice as much as possible.
We all share household responsibilities and do our share to the best of our abilities. Each person cares for their own private space or with assistance as needed. We respect each other’s private spaces and do not enter into someone else’s private space without permission.
Lori has been an adult foster for about 20 years. Before that, she worked in group homes and as independent living support staff. Bryan has been an adult foster provider for about 10 years along with Lori, and he also works outside of the home. Our true passion is offering someone support to help them live their best life. It important that a person supported is happy while in our home and in their life overall. Whether our home is a steppingstone to your dream living situation or it’s a long-term desire for you to live here, we are happy to be a part of it.
