Bullo Family
Bullo family hopes to make a positive impact and welcome someone new into their home
Our names are Edris and Lidya, and we live in the city of Otsego, Minnesota, with our three young children. We come from a community that values inclusion. As refugees, we understand the importance of a reliable home and sense of stability. When someone moves into to our house, they will be treated as we treat each other. We would hope to learn your likes and dislikes and make our home a welcoming and happy place for you to be.
Our home is three stories and includes a large backyard. There are four bedrooms upstairs and a living room. The basement level is currently unfinished, but we plan to convert this area into a semi-private suite that would include a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchenette and living area. Whomever moves into our house will have their choice of the upstairs bedroom or the basement suite. We are open to making modifications to the home, including a stair lift, if this would serve somebody’s needs.
Edris grew up in a community that valued taking care of each other in spite of unfortunate circumstances. Edris migrated to Kenya as a refugee, where many people arrived to without any resources. Family supported Edris to move to America, and after he graduated college, he began volunteering in a program for people with autism. He currently works as direct support professional where he teaches adaptive skills and promotes community inclusion. Lidya works part-time in home health care. Our schedules will allow the possibility for 24/7 supports to be provided.
Seeing others happy makes us happy. We enjoy making a positive impact on others, even in the small ways.
