Bitew Family

Bitew family eager to support someone’s dreams and goals in a family environment

We are Tibebu and Hirute Bitew, and we are eager to welcome someone new to be a part of our family! We live in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, in a large three-story home. Our household is calm, and we consider ourselves to be a very welcoming family. We have three grown children who now live out of the home but still visit regularly. Family is very important to us. We are happy to accommodate someone with any accessibility needs they may have. We value communication and are strong advocates of human rights and equality.

Our neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. There is a neighborhood park about one mile away. Our backyard spans half an acre and faces a church and child care center. In the summertime, Hirute enjoys gardening and making our outdoor spaces into a beautiful place to relax.

We currently have two open bedrooms, and one is located on the main floor and the other on the upper level. We have a new stair lift which leads both to the upper floor and the basement level. There are two full bathrooms in the home, with one on the upper level of the home and one on the basement level. An additional half bath is located on the main level.

Tibebu currently works as a nurse and has worked in various areas of healthcare services, such as group residential, acute dementia and mental health wings, and chemical dependency treatment programs. Tibebu and Hirute are flexible to provide 24-hour support based upon the needs and preferences of the individual. We understand that choice is important to everyone, and this includes the right to form one’s own schedule with their preferred activities. We hope to encourage and support any dreams and goals the individual may have.
