Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is proud to be named one of the Top 200 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune.

“Our team members make a difference in the lives of the people we serve each day,” said Miata Getaweh, vice president of Human Resources. “They do important work with great care and dedication, bringing our mission to life in so many ways. That’s what makes LSS a great place to work and a Top Workplace.”

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota received the Top Workplace distinction through team member responses to an Energage employee survey in March 2024. The survey measured employee engagement, organizational health, and satisfaction. Team members were invited to share feedback in areas, such as:

  • Job satisfaction
  • The degree to which the organization’s values align with theirs
  • Opportunities to grow in their work roles and receive training
  • Compensation and benefits.
  • The level of support and appreciation team members receive from their colleagues and managers
  • Work/life balance
  • The organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion

Lutheran Social Service ranked 41st on the list of Top Workplaces among Minnesota’s largest employers

Star Tribune CEO and Publisher Steve Grove said, “The companies in the Star Tribune Top 200 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”
