Refugee English Language Tutor for Refugee Services

This role provides a dedicated time for adult refugees who cannot attend regular ESL classes to practice their English. Weekly one-hour sessions are scheduled at the discretion of the volunteer and availability of the refugee. The initial commitment is three months, with an opportunity to extend if both parties agree. Meetings between the volunteer and client take place at the refugee’s home or in the community for language-learning “field trips.” Most opportunities are for volunteers who are able to meet in-person with clients in the Twin Cities Metro and St. Cloud area.
