Reverse Host Home: Hannah looking forward to new stage in her adult life
Hannah is looking for a provider to move into her home to support her.
I am Hannah, and I am 30 years old. I live in Albertville with my parents, but they will be transitioning out of the home. I would like to find someone to share their life with me in my home full-time as my Host Home provider. I like to have fun and be silly, but I need help to experience life, be successful, and the best version of myself.
I have a very infectious smile and laugh. I use non-verbal cues, sounds and pointing to help you understand my needs and wants.
My days can be busy and active. At home, I like to do my workboxes, Velcro sheets, arts and crafts, puzzles, games, toys, and watch PBS on my iPad. Out in the community, I like shopping or going to movies or to the park. I also enjoy just having some down time by myself.
Someday, I may have the opportunity to attend a day program, but in the meantime, I enjoy being included in household tasks and cooking but might need some guidance along the way. I do need help with my personal care needs.
My house is located on a quiet residential street, not far from downtown Albertville. It is a spacious split-level home, and each level has bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas. The fenced-in backyard has an extra-large deck to enjoy the outside space.
Because I need support for my day-to-day routine, health and safety, an ideal Host Home provider match for me could include an additional support person. The provider should have a good sense of humor and calmness about them.
I enjoy going with my parents to our family cabin up north, and this will ensure respite for you!
