    Our Client-Centered Approach

LSS Guardianship Options is committed to offering a client-centered approach to care and decision-making.

    Guardians
An LSS Guardian is appointed to help persons manage their living, health and/or financial affairs. LSS Guardians serve in the best interest of their clients - visiting with them regularly and working with medical and social supports and caregivers to ensure the best care possible.

    Conservators
An LSS Conservator is appointed specifically to manage and preserve the assets of a protected person. When appointed Conservator, LSS secures assets, pays bills, and manages an individual's financial, real estate, and other assets.

LSS guardians and conservators meet with clients regularly; his/her best interests and personal preferences are carefully considered when making decisions about:

    • Selecting a place of residence and living arrangements
    • Providing cares to support a healthy lifestyle, including food, healthcare, social, educational and recreational needs
    • Managing finances and contractual agreements
    • Approving medical or professional care

For more information, please review our Guardianship/Conservatorship FAQs
