Our Services
Lutheran Social Service: Employment Services, through its expertise and experience gained since 1979, seeks to enable its clients to gain self-sufficiency through employment. Through our employment services, our clients will gain independence from public assistance. Our services are offered free of charge to our clients. We do charge minimal fees for referrals from other agencies.
Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP):
LSS Employment Services offers assistance to low-income families in Hennepin County seeking to become self sufficient.
Waiver Program: This unique program focuses on MFIP clients who are refugee and asylees in need of additional assistance in finding employment.
Refugee Employment Services (RES)
: LSS Employment Services assists refugees and asylees who have been in the US for less than 5 years find permanent employment.
Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)
: This program, offered to refugees who are single or married and do not have children, provides assistance for the first eight months after a refugee arrives in the United States.
