Services for People with Disabilities Minnesota

Residential, In-Home and Respite Care
People with developmental and physical disabilities are among the most vulnerable Minnesotans. LSS offers a wide variety of services, including residential living services, care and support for people in their own homes, and respite services for primary caregivers.

Guardianship/Conservatorship
LSS serves as court-appointed guardian/conservator when people are not able to make decisions about their care, living circumstances or finances.

Camp Knutson
This spectacular camp, located near Crosslake, Minn., serves people with disabilities. Campers include people with severe skin disorders, hearing impairments, HIV-AIDS sufferers, people with emotional problems. The camp is open to groups in the spring, summer and fall.

Partners in Community Supports (PICS)
Partners in Community Supports, an LSS subsidiary, is a Fiscal Support Entity (FSE), and serves individuals with disabilities, the elderly, people affected by brain injury, and their families who choose the Consumer Directed Community Support (CDCS) option. PICS helps its clients coordinate the many financial processing and billing tasks involved with CDCS.

LSS Transitions - Brain Injury Services
LSS knows that the best progress in recovery can be made during the first two years following a brain injury. LSS Transitions - Brain Injury Services is unique in that the residences and specially-trained staff are entirely focused on helping people with brain injuries. LSS provides a therapeutic approach to help people recover, restore cognitive and motor skills, rehabilitate, and return to the community.

Vasa Children's Home
LSS Vasa Children's Home is a 24-bed ICF/MR that supports children and young adults, 7-22 years of age, with a wide range of developmental, physical, psychological, social or behavioral delays. Our staff develop individualized program plans to assure safety, learning, growth and choice for each individual.
