Jonelle Bollig

Therapeutic Foster Care Coordinator


Areas of Expertise: Child foster care, licensing, Children’s mental health.

Education and Licensure: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the College of St. Benedict and Master of Science in Community Counseling from St. Cloud State University.

Professional Experience: Located in the St. Cloud and Brainerd regions, Jonelle Bollig is the Therapeutic Foster Care Coordinator for the central MN region. In this role, Jonelle recruits, trains and licenses foster homes to provide therapeutic foster care services to children ages 0-18. She works with the referring workers for children from across the state to match them with skilled foster care providers. She also coordinates services to help the youth in care achieve their personal goals while in placement. Jonelle manages the day to day functioning of the foster care program, offers monthly support meetings for the families and is available for the providers whenever they have a question or concern. Jonelle has worked in the foster care program with LSS since 2006. Prior to her work at LSS, Jonelle worked as a mental health practitioner providing in-home family based services throughout central MN.

Media Appearances: Jonelle is an expert spokesperson on foster care and child mental health. She and her foster care providers have appeared in community videos and print media.
