LSS Congregational Ambassadors form a network of volunteer leaders in congregations across the state of Minnesota.

    LSS Ambassador Role

    1. Service
Ambassadors work with LSS service staff in their region to define and coordinate opportunities for volunteer service.
    2. Communication
Ambassadors provide ongoing information to their congregations regarding service updates, legislative and budgetary changes affecting LSS.
    3. Fundraising
Ambassadors develop fundraising events in the congregation and the community to support LSS services.
    4. Advocacy
Ambassadors work within the congregation and join with other faith communities to affect public will in legislation and public funding.

  • About the Ambassador Program

LSS Ambassadors serve in one year renewable terms and are appointed by the senior pastor of their church. The ambassador will fulfill their commitment according to how they see this ministry in the context of their community.

Each quarter, ambassadors take part in a conference call led by LSS CEO Jodi Harpstead. The calls keep LSS and ambassador churches connected and caught up on current initiatives and issues.
